Silvano Perožić
Silvano Perožić is a Painter, Music composer and awarded short film director.
1. Your project has
entered in our festival. What is your project about?
it’s a love fairy tale situated in an indefinite
time.
2. What are your
ambitions with your project?
To be seen, more Awards will be welcome :-)
3. Tell us something
about your shooting? What pleasantly surprised you?
Possibilities of such a simple and basic
programme as an Effect 3d Studio, a web gif designer programme, it needs frame
by frame work, and computer stop animation, which is good.
I used to use completely different software from
film to film, for example on my awarded experimental film Q1 I made all drawings on Windows Paint only,
every filmmaker knows that Windows paint is not the right software for
animation, but I tried and did it well as it seems.
4. For what group of
spectators is your film targeted?
Didn’t have that in mind during working on the
film.
5. Why should
distributors buy your film?
I made "V" for my pleasure, and music too and really
enjoyed both, montage was a challenge, and also how to pay attention, how to
have enough motivating and dynamic music for certain scenes, and how to keep
both stories in balanced, outer space and computer screen.
6. How would you
specify your work? What characterizes your film?
Research in one word. My music definitely, and my
painter's way of scene composition, and colours.
I am a
professional painter long time, a musician, and a registered active composer.
7. Why did you decide
to become a filmmaker?
Can’t remember, I got as a gift from my parents
for my 11th birthday an amateur Eumig 8mm camera, a very good small camera with
many possibilities that bigger cameras had at that time.
Before that I was fascinated with movies, I was
drawing much, making " films " on paper roles.
8. Who is your role
model?
I have many.
9. Which movies are
your favourites? Why?
All Kubrick, all Krytsof Kieslowski, Coppola,
David Lynch.

space for an adequately precise and understandable to everybody answer here.
10. Where do you look
for inspiration for your films?
In life, I’m an artist, it’s possible to find
inspiration everywhere even when you are not in an inspirational mood.
Books, films, music, life situations, voyages,
surrounding, news, documentaries, women and friends of course. ..
11. Which topics
interest you the most?
Invisible not touchable sometimes explainable
sometimes not but present excitable things like intuition or love.
12. What do you
consider your greatest achievement in your career?
Knowledge about the results of my work and what
comes after a period, years, sometimes decades.
13. What do you
consider most important about filming?
Idea and story definitely, "That
something" if possible.
14. Which film
technique of shooting do you consider the best?
Depends on the film, for short movies is not
necessary to have a 70 mm film camera, I often use to keep a pocket handy
camera with me, HDV or 4K with enough quality, You never know.
I think the idea is most important not tool
quality, with better tools comes better ideas.
15. How would you
rate/What is your opinion about current filmmaking?
I am not the right person to answer this question
as I am not following trends, and I
don’t have time to follow recent productions.
Will be cool to be more involved in everything, I
would love to, but unfortunately, I don’t have enough time.
16. What can disappoint
you in a movie?
Lack of story and mistakes is what You don't
expect from a serious filmmaker, like bad montage between scenes during
dialogue, let's say.
17. Who supports you
in your film career?
Everybody who loves me, who loves my films, my
paintings or my music.
18. What are the
reactions to your film? (opinion of spectators, film critics, friends and
family)
As I could see from the audience's reaction while
I am playing live, having paintings exhibitions or while I am watching my short
films at the cinema, reactions are positive, good, and sometimes very good.
19. Have you already
visited any of the prestigious film festivals?
Yes, a few European. Submitted to a few not
European "top 15" waiting results.
20. What are your
plans for a filmmaking career?
I am
working on 2 feature shorts, one experimental and a few animated short films
¸working on music for them too.
